Custom Flavor Ice Cream FAQ

How many mix-ins can I add to my ice cream?

Each Doc Burnstein’s Create-a-Flavor comes with 3 mix-ins and a swirl.

Do I get to make the ice cream?

All our ice cream is made in our professional, food-safe Creamery. Only our certified Doc’s employees can make ice cream at our Creamery.

Can I see my ice cream being made?

Yes! Peer through our viewing windows into the Production Room to watch our Creamery Technicians bring your creation to life! Be sure to mention in your order form that you would like to watch your ice cream being made and someone will contact you to schedule a viewing time. Viewing times are available Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm.

Can I have anything I want in my ice cream?

Pretty much! You can request any food item that we have in stock or is available from our suppliers. If you have a special food item that is factory-sealed that you would like to bring to our Creamery, we would be happy to add that to your ice cream. To keep in line with the food safety standards at our Creamery we cannot add any homemade items to your ice cream.

Can I bring in homemade ingredients?

What colors do you have available?

Like a burst of color? We can add the following food-grade dyes to your ice cream: cream, caramel, blue, orange, yellow, green, or red.

Do you have vegan ice cream?

Vegan ice cream is coming soon to Doc Burnstein’s! Check back soon!

What base flavors do you have available?

Before adding mix-ins, each ice cream can have a “base” flavor. Our available base flavors are: Chocolate, Vanilla, Sweet Cream (no added flavor), Bittersweet Chocolate, Bubble Gum, Burnt Sugar, Cookie Dough, Cotton Candy, Key Lime, Lemon, Marshmallow, Peppermint, Pistachio, Strawberry, White Cake, Almond, Black Walnut, Blue Raspberry, Blueberry, Cherry, Cinnamon, Coconut, Green Apple, Mango, Maple, Orange, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Watermelon, White Chocolate, Kiwi, Whiskey

What swirls do you have available?

We have a variety of swirls in stock. Our most popular are caramel, fudge, marshmallow, and strawberry.

You don’t make my favorite flavor any more! Can I get a discontinued flavor?

Of course! We can make any of our discontinued flavors as a Custom Flavor.

How long does it take?

After we receive payment, it will take 14 days for your ice cream to arrive in the parlor.

How do I pay for my ice cream?

After we receive your order, we will email you a PayPal invoice.

Where do I pick up my ice cream?

Your ice cream will be waiting for you at the parlor of your choice.

What can I put on my Custom Label?

There are two ways to have a custom label on your ice cream.
Doc’s can design a custom label for you by placing the name of your ice cream on an image of your choice. If you would like Doc’s to design your label, please provide us with a photograph and the name of your ice cream. Photos should be “horizontal” and include some area where we can place text.
You can also design your own label with photos, graphics, text, and whatever you want! Labels should be 4” x 2” and saved in a picture file, such as .jpg, .png, or .gif. Be sure to save it at a high quality for printing.
